Ready for Revival

John 14:1-3 (NIV) “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

 

Psalm 85:1-6 (NKJV) You, Lord, showed favor to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob. You forgave the iniquity of your people and covered all their sins. You set aside all your wrath and turned from your fierce anger. Restore us again, God our Savior, and put away your displeasure toward us. Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger through all generations? Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

 

Revival: A unique season where the Spirit of God is helping you do something in a supernatural way.

Acts 2:14-21 (NIV) Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’”

Luke 21:27-28 (NIV) “At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

  The Gospel of Our Creation Psalm 100:3 Know that the LORD he is God: it is he that has made us, and not we; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.… It is he that hath made us, and not we. This declaration was held to be a gospel. It occurs in a psalm that may well be regarded as a universal psalm. It is not for Jesus only, but for "all people that on earth do dwell." And amongst the reasons wherefore it calls on all to be joyful in the Lord, there is this one - that "it is he that hath made us," etc.   I. NOW, WE CANNOT CONCEIVE OF GOD AS ACTING WITHOUT MOTIVE. And -   II. THEREFORE THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A MOTIVE FOR THE CREATION OF MAN.  We can trace reasons and evidence of purpose in all God's work; hence,ce we are sure there must have been such when he created man.   III.   Moving Forward Moving Forward to Destiny   Philippians 3:13 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,   14  I  press toward the mark for the prize of God's high calling in Christ Jesus. Like the runner who will lose the prize if he mistakes any point short of the goal for the end or if he wastes his time looking back on the course traversed, the Christian must press forward with his face towards Christ, unresting until the great race is won.   I. WE MUST NOT CONSIDER ANY PRESENT ATTAINMENT SUFFICIENT,  St, Paul was no novice when he wrote this Epistle. An old man, rich and ripe in many graces, far and away beyond the experience of most Christians, he still felt that he had not reached the great end of his efforts. How much less can inferior Christians allow themselves to be satisfied with what they have as yet acquired!...
