3 | CONCLUSION
The Devil is the king of lies. All he wants to do sell you lies that lead to sin. When you are being tempted, remember this,
Sin never lives up to its promise. Sin is built on lies.
Remember that Jesus is THE VOICE in the WILDERNESS. He is THE BREAD OF LIFE. He is always faithful through a hard season!
Remember
When you are in an Awkward Stage as a young person you have 2 choices
-
You can either remain in your Awkward Stage for the rest of your life and not
grow past it.
-
You can Know that it will not last forever and how one day there will be change!
JESUS sees your awkward stage. He sees your inner struggles. He sees your weaknesses! He sees your hurts! But the Devil also sees your weaknesses and knows when you are going through something hard.
Just like when we are in an Awkward Stage, when we are in the midst of “The Wilderness” we have 2 choices.
-
We can choose to remain mad, bitter, and sad about what we are going through.
-
We can look to Jesus and allow HIS VOICE to guide us through, so that we come out stronger than we went in!
Matthew 4:1-11
What we have to know is that Jesus our savior relates to the same temptations we face all of the time! Because he has been through them!
POINT 1 : THE DEVIL ATTACKED JESUS’ WEAKEST AREA.
John 6:35 | “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
Hebrews 4:15 | For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. So we are going to learn how he made it through the Wilderness!
POINT 2 : THE DEVIL ATTACKED JESUS’ MIND.
Remember when the Devil is tempting you and trying to get you to REACT, that you don’t have to prove anything to him. Remain strong and confident in who God is and how he is ALWAYS FAITHFUL!
POINT 3 : THE DEVIL ATTACKED JESUS’S SONSHIP.
Finally the Devil took Jesus to the top of a high mountain and began to point out all of the kingdoms of the world, all of the beautiful areas and more, “I will give all of this to you IF you bow down and worship me”...
This is a lie! God always has our best interests in mind.
What was the Devil thinking?
How could he try and tempt the Son Of God?
